Each year, the American Rental Association (ARA) recognizes individuals for outstanding service to the association and the rental industry. This month, a list of award winners was released on rentalpulse.com (a website that releases weekly e-newsletters with information about the equipment rental industry).
Among the four individual awards announced, Josh Nickell - CEO of Nickell Rental, received the Meritorious Service Award.
From the Rental Pulse website, “The Meritorious Service Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exemplary leadership in a defined area of association service, such as leadership demonstrated through a committee, special project or service activity.”
The announcement gives a brief history of Nickell Rental along with Josh’s involvement in the ARA over the past decade “working tirelessly to grow the state association.” The article goes on to acknowledge Josh’s achievements on the local level including “serving as vice president and now president and legislative committee chair of the ARA of Georgia.” Josh even received the Region 3 Person of the Year award in 2014. In 2016, the Georgia association received the ARA Membership Award for demonstrating an exemplary commitment to growth and retention of membership – all under Josh’s leadership.
Not only has he made a name for himself on the local level, Josh has made an entrance into the national scene. “He’s attended the National Legislative Caucus since 2015, served on the ARA Insurance Member Risk Management Committee and been on The Rental Show Task Force for 2016, 2017 and 2018. He currently is the task force chair and has helped produce promotional videos for the New Orleans show. He’s also involved in ARAPAC.”
The official award presentation and press release will follow in February of 2018. But for right now, this is quite the honor for Josh and all of us here at Nickell Rental! We are very proud of the great leaders that keep Nickell Rental moving forward! Way to go, Josh!
